Intervention

Tue 29th Jan 2008 by Ben Palmer.

… For the first time since Jessica died I feel I am coping. Maybe it's because both children are at school/nursery during the weekday, but I don't think that's the extent. Possibly I've graduated as a Mum (albeit with a very basic level of qualification) or possibly it's because I also feel I'm able to help do something about the terrible condition that killed our wife and mother. Something, …

I like Mondays

Sat 15th Sep 2007 by Ben Palmer.

… not yet half way through and already I am longing for Monday morning when both children will be at school.

'Oh, my love it makes me sad.

Why did things turn out so bad?

Was it just a dream, everything we

did, everything we had?'

It is strange

Wed 22nd Aug 2007 by Ben Palmer.

… I know my parents, siblings, friends and some of the Mums and teachers at both Harry's and Emily's school read my blog - sometimes that's the only way people know what I'm up to, because I'm totally useless with a telephone and can be fairly forgetful about email as well sometimes. What's the purpose of this blog? Well, there were many. It's a way, for me, of keeping focused on the website and …

Time of the moth

Sat 7th Jul 2007 by Ben Palmer.

When I went to change for last night's school parents' party, I carefully brushed my suit jacket and then started on the trousers, only to find them full of moth larvae and holes. A cursory inspection of the rest of the rail found another suit and a jacket in the same state. I didn't dare look any further, and hung them on the garden …

Lollipops and Smarties

Sat 12th May 2007 by Ben Palmer.

In a brief moment of silence, I can sit at my computer. My children, Harry and Emily, are devouring post-party goodies, so I can make a start with some work, except I'm blogging instead.

Jessica's trust has been up for about four weeks so far, as has the petition - so I want to take stock. …
